Sanrio has teamed up with accessory brand NEIVZ (spearheaded by Steven Shein) to collaborate on a limited edition jewelry collection just in time for the holidays. Sanrio’s iconic characters (like Hello Kitty, Chococat, Little Twin Stars, Keroppi, and My Melody) combined with the very simple, flat, geometric designs characteristic of Steven Shein’s work result in super kawai overload.
My favorites from Pamela Love’s newest Autumn-Winter 2011 collection featuring model Charlotte Free.
“The fall 2011 collection from designer Meredith Kahn’s jewelry label, Made Her Think is titled Fight or Flight. And indeed the autumn lookbook photographed by James Macari is a story onto its own with Marianna donning the designer wares with a mix of elegance and broodiness. Styled by James M Rosenthal, the latest season gives way to Kahn’s Victorian influenced creations with a modern edge.” via Fashion Gone Rogue hyperlink: http://fashiongonerogue.com/fall-2011/
Gia Bahm started Unearthen in New York City, creating one of a kind jewelry by hand picking crystals and bullets according to the histories, qualities, and sizes of the materials. Each item produced by Unearthen is much more like a work of art than just a piece of jewelry; each item has its own description, list of general properties, and health benefits.
“The uniting of the crystal and empty bullet creates a powerful opposition, causing old dreams and new beginnings to fall upon its bearer. For this reason, the stone with their right properties for your needs will inherently attract you. Each crystal carries distinct properties. Its aims may be to clear your mind, focus your heart on goals you struggle to achieve, provide comfort in difficult times, or simply remind you of the balance between destruction and creation.” -UNEARTHEN
Rad packaging for each necklace!
