ahh, the power of twitter
September 17th, 2009A couple months ago when I headed up to San Francisco for some Contrast ad sales and distribution work, I twitted to some friends that I was headed up. Word circulated and soon SF-Resident Liana from Mixed Plate Blog direct messaged me that she’d love to get some magazines. I called her up and turns out we went to High School together in Hawaii, but neither of us remember each other. Anyway, the one day she was free to grab mags, I was busy with meetings. So I left her a copy of each of our first two issues with the hotel front desk. When I got back that evening, Liana had left me a goodie bag from The Candy Store (one of her jobs) that included chocolate covered pretzels with Hawaiian Salt! One of her own creations. So ONO!
We didn’t get a chance to meet, but we kept in touch and she wanted to write a piece about Contrast for her Mixed Plate Blog that supports independent companies that focus on fashion, art, design, photography, etc. She shot me over a few questions and I tried my best to shed some light on the intentions and direction of Contrast Magazine. Mahalo Liana! Read the piece HERE.
