Tomorrow night (Dec. 29) is Kuha‘o Zaneʻs birthday. Instead of making the eveningʻs festivities all about his trip through the birth canal, the graphic designer is taking the opportunity to show aloha to a good friend with a Beer Pong tournament.
Kuha‘oʻs homeboy, El Kellum, suffered a gnarly head injury Tuesday, Dec. 21 in Hilo, and had to be medevac to O‘ahu for emergency treatment. El returned to Hawai‘i Island for Christmas on Thursday, Dec. 23, but is not completely recovered.
KZ is throwing the 2nd Annual That BP Comp as a means to ease the Kellum ‘ohanaʻs medical cost and to show El that he is on our minds and prayers during this holiday season. There is $25 entry fee per team and all of the money raised will go directly to the Kellums. Itʻs a BYOB affair, but killer pupu will be served up by the culinary artists at Aloha Mondays. Cruise by if youʻre in the Hilo vicinity. You know where it is. Party starts at 5 p.m. and the tourney starts at 7 p.m. No forget for tell Kuha‘o, “Happy Birthday, Buleh!”

Radical Outing Presents Never Forget: An Attack On Our Freedom and Way of Life
In light of the recent Four Loko bans, this is Radical Outing’s response, eight tracks of songs influenced by Four Loko produced under the influence of Four Loko. The EP features contributions from Anton Glamb, Chad Dubz, Santhya, Pink Cash and Jonny on the Rocks of Rocky Business. All tracks are original with the exception of Beautiful Problems, a rap/remix of an original song by Jade<3. The album covers many different emotions and experiences that Four Loko can provide from the personal to the political, from solitude to romance. Radical Outing drank a lot of Four Loko and feel that these recent bans are an attack on our freedom and way of life. They feel that it is their civic duty to respond and stand up for the basic American right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. You can download the album for free here.
Have you ever heard the saying, “when life gives you lemons, make dope shit”? What!? You haven’t!? Well, I guess you heard it here. And that is exactly what Hawaii-based brand Lemon does. They make dope shit. Don’t believe me? Check out their lookbook for this upcoming line. You can order any of this dope gear on their website: www.lemonhi.com.
Also, if you are gonna be in Hilo for the holidays, Lemon will be throwing a party at the Hilo Lanes (777 Kinoole Street) on December 26th. All you gotta do is bring two canned goods (or $5) and that will get you in to the party. They will have live music, dranks, and you can cop some Lemon gear there too. Support local!
The Fitted x Hawaiian Sun project drops today…get yourself a sip or a whole six-pack…

Man, that print would make such a dope Aloha shirt, yea?
I took this photograph of Kaikea Kimura while we were working on an APB print ad. He was wearing a Diamond Supply Co. T-shirt designed exclusively for APB Skateshop and I heard that it’s now available at the store and online at downwithapb.com. Support Local Skateboarding.
